The on-going pandemic
could not stop the Department of Social Work from ensuring that students had
the opportunity to fulfill a part of the course requirements. The Head of the
Department, Lt. Akshay D. Mandlik and PG Coordinator, Dr. Alan Godfrey along with other
faculty members of the Department organised online field work, rural camp,
tribal camp, and research viva voce examinations for BSW and MSW students from the 18th to the 22nd of May, 2020. The viva voce
examinations took place via Zoom and Google Meet. Externals were informed in
advance and provided necessary technical support for this purpose. Students
were informed in advance about this as well which ensured the smooth
conduct of the online viva voce examinations.
