On the 30th of September, 2021, the School of Social Work in collaboration with Rainbow Homes conducted a session on Indian and International Policies on Prohibition of Child Labour, to highlight the plight of child labourers in India and the world. The session was held on MS Teams at 3 PM. Ms. Shubhdha, Manager (Academy), Rainbow Homes, was the resource person for the day. She pointed out that there were about 150 million child labourers around the world and out that, the highest concentration of child labourers is in Africa and in the Asian-Pacific region. She also highlighted the various international policies aimed at improving the plight of child labourers. The session also included a question and answer session which was moderated and completed by 4:30 Pm.
